Washington, D.C. is a very walkable and well-connected city, making it easy to explore without a car. The METRO rail system (subway and buses) links all major neighborhoods and attractions, while bike-share stations, scooters, and rideshare services are widely available.

Closest METRO rail station stop: Eastern Market (ORANGE/BLUE/SILVER Lines) (701 Pennsylvania Ave SE) - a 7 minute walk

Closest Capital Bikeshare rack: @ The Eastern Market METRO rail station (701 Pennsylvania Ave SE) - a 7 minute walk

There are typically also scooters available along every street for rent, using your smartphone and their associated app (e.g. Lime, Bird, etc.)

For those who prefer to drive, street parking and garages can be found throughout the city, though availability may vary depending on the neighborhood. We highly recommend checking SpotHero and Parkwhiz for more affordable nearby parking options.

Many visitors choose to combine walking, METRO, and rideshare (Uber, Lyft taxi) for the most convenient experience while exploring the capital.
